The Yurt
The yurt is 30' across and spacious with high ceilings, large windows, an open balcony and a beautiful view of the valley and pond. Stay cool with central A/C and wind-down comfortably in the queen sized bedroom. In addition to the bedroom the yurt has a single bed and a double futon in the sleeping loft and accommodates 4 people comfortably.
The location.
The yurt is located on a quiet country road 2 miles above route 151 in Nelson County Virginia. It is 20 minutes from Charlottesville, Waynesboro, Wintergreen Resort, Shenandoah National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and multiple wineries and breweries. You can take hiking trails from the property directly to the Appalachian Trail and Humpback rocks.

Although we are close to everything the yurt is private and secluded. There are lots of things to do without leaving the property including spending time in the private hot tub, nights on the deck or at the fire pit, walking the hiking trails, or swimming and fishing at the pond. Or just relax in front of the wood stove and listen to records or surf the high speed internet.
About us.
We are an American and Canadian couple (by way of Brooklyn, NY!) now living on a 70 acre farm in the Blue Ridge with a chocolate lab mix named Jolene and a Westie named Rosie. We left the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn 8 years ago looking for greener pastures and found ourselves in beautiful Nelson County. We live in a farmhouse about 300 years down the hill from the Yurt.
